He let go of her hand and reached into his pocket for his wallet. They were next. He recited their order for the chinese lady at the coutner and then looked to Charlotte, "Anything else?" He pulled out about $20 which would well cover both their meals. It wasnt much more than a generous offer, and a way to pay her for the gas she used to bring them here. Not that he probably needed to but he wanted to give paying for both their meals more purpose than it actually had.

She pulled out her wallet just in case it was well worn and raddy with a Dixie flag on it after all she was from Georgia she got it on her sixteenth b-day and she never left it anywhere. She looked around the restaraunt the lucky cat the jade fat guy and the moving waterfall picture it was weird but nice and the creepy looking old chinese guy she couldnt understand a word that was coming out of his mouth.

"Its quite alright, really. It's not gonna break my bank." he said with a smile. "Its nice to have something to do for once, but if youre really uncomfortable, how bout you cover the tip?" He said with an innocent and smile. He slid the 20 onto the counter and the old lady slid it into the regester. "Fi-minute" she said in her barely understandable version of the english language. He lead Charlotte to the coutner along the wall, pulling Charlottes chair out for her to sit. He sat beside her swinging around on the rotating stool that they had for a chair. He was always fascinated by these kinds of chairs and his inenr child came out every time he sat on one. He regained his composure a moment later with an innocent smile and a bit of a laugh.

" Yea I'll cover the tip and thanks by the way for understanding" she said. She sat down on the stool and spun around looking around like a kid in a candy shop surveying the variety of candies. She watched him do the same thing and couldnt help but laugh it was humorous the way they were acting in the restaurant like 3 year old kids. She looked over to the chinese lady which was staring at them Charlotte covered her face obviously embaressed at how the lady was watching them " oops I need to act my age in public" she said grinning through her hands at him.

He began to spin around on the chair as a small child would. "I hope this isnt too embarassing for you" he said with a smile as he stopped and began spinning in the oppsiite direction. "Who cares what people think of us, we'll never see them again." He slowed to a stop now lightheaded. His head still fell forward and back a bit. "Now I remember why ma told me not to do that..." He began to laugh a bit as he turnned one last bit back to face the counter. "well that was fun..."

She grinned as she watched him spin around. She did a couple more spins until she felt as if about to barf and her world woudnt stop spinning. The food finally arrived though. She noticed they gave her chop sticks and no fork " oh great I cant use these things" she said pointing at chop sticks. " looks good though" she said grinning.

He held one finger to her as he stepped out of his chair and over to the counter. A small asian woman who could barely see over the top of the tall marbleish-coated wall was standing there looking up at him. "Can I get a couple of forks?" The woman shook her head and began to mutter some chinese. "Fork. Can I have Forks?" he made motions with his hands to show what he wanted. After a few moments of this, she finally cought on and nodded, then grabbing a single fork. He siged. "Thank you." he walked back to his seat beside her and handed it to her. "If theyre going to work here they should at least learn our language..." He smiled a bit and picked up his chop sticks, good thing he had learned how to use them damned things.

She smiled a sly smile and accepted the fork with a thank you. She looked at her food trying to figure out where to start at in her food. She gave up said a brief prayer and dug in she was starving. Charlotte was watching him out of the corner of her eyes. She grinned and got some of her savory food on her fork she grinned and spoke " sooo you want a bite of mine" she teased holding it out to him with a gleam to her eyes.

"Sounds good to me, but only if you'll try mine." he smiled. It was new to him to be in the company of a female such as her. It had been a very long time. His thoughts were leading him all over the place as they usually did, and he had to center himself once more and bring himself back to here and now rather than "well what about after we're done eating? then what?" Take life as it comes is what everyone has said. Slow down and enjoy yourself is what he hadda keep telling himself. It was beginning to work.

She watched him not sure what to say but for the food comment she said "sure." She thought about things they could do and none she could think of as of that moment. She grinned " no idea but if you have something in mind myabe we could do it" she said. She watched him for a few minutes not sure what was going on in that masculine head of his.
